Last UAB Appointment

We had our last appointment with UAB today until Ava arrives. We met a third doctor in the Maternal/Fetal Medicine group, Dr. J. She said that Ava is continuing to grow well, weighing in at a little over 5 pounds. Ava decided to be stubborn again and burrowed down in my hip. All we could see was a straight-on shot of her little nose and mouth. Her heart defects have not improved, but her heart is beating well.

The great news from this appointment is that this doctor was willing to set a date for induction. Praise the Lord! Thank you, Father, for answering that prayer. The uncertainty of trying to guess when to go up to B'ham has been a major source of stress. We will not know the exact date for a few days, but the plan is to check her lungs at 38 weeks. If they are adequately developed, then they will induce at 38 weeks. If her lungs need more time, they will induce at 39 weeks.

I am so thankful that the Lord put this particular doctor in our path today. Thank you to those of you who prayed specifically for guidance in this area.

Now we will look forward to Jack Jack's 2nd birthday party this weekend! So hard to believe he will be 2 this month!
